Patricia Wong is an educator and a children’s book author and illustrator. Her work encourages little readers to learn about their feelings through meaningful rhyming text and endearing, relatable illustrations. Each of her books has been thoughtfully written and illustrated to help children understand and overcome the social emotional challenges they face daily.
Patricia’s debut picture book, “Finding Hello” was inspired by her young son and explores issues children have with social anxiety – a challenge that many children are faced with. Her second book, “The Angry Monster Within” inspired by her daughter, is a story about a little girl discovering ways to manage her big emotions with the loving support of her parents. Patricia’s latest book, “He, They, She? I Am ME!”, delves into gender identity and expression through a character who breaks free from societal expectations in a magical world of freedom.
As an author, educator and mother of two, Patricia is passionate about finding ways to help children find courage, peace and confidence in themselves.
